Managed Application Support

Application support and maintenance provide challenges to many IT departments – most of which are often unpredictable and demand immediate attention.

Some may need niche technical skills which are not ‘strategic’ to the organisation and detract from the drive to deliver business advantage through IT.

Crimson offers a service tailored to your specific requirements, ranging from ‘bug fix only’ solutions to dedicated teams providing 24/7 cover and ongoing enhancements for business-critical applications.

Our services are backed up with the commitment based on formal SLA’s and our own management.

Different technologies, different applications, different levels of cover

Crimson will work with you to determine the most cost-effective model to fit your needs including:

  1. Service Definition. To arrive at a formal agreement in which both parties fully understand roles, responsibilities and commitment – this is where the service is tailored and how it will operate going forward.

  2. Knowledge Transfer. Crimson is always willing to invest in the knowledge transfer that is fundamental to the success of the transition to supporting an application that we have developed.

  3. Flexibility. Many applications encounter peaks in business activities which demand increased support for short periods of time. We deploy and manage teams of support professionals with relevant skills and plan for peaks, succession and holiday cover.

  4. Governance. Ensuring that the outsourced support is properly controlled and that work is carried out making the best use of the resource available. Handover from the client to support, prioritisation of the workload and successful acceptance and implementation back to the client, all monitored and financed within the terms of the agreement.

  5. Levels of cover. The scope of the agreement and how service levels are met. This is where much of the service is tailored in terms of response expectations and exactly what is included and excluded.

  6. Integration. We understand that applications are rarely ‘stand-alone’ and how they fit in the overall systems estate. Crimson promotes a culture of seamless integration with our clients’ own service and application functions, so that we effectively become an extension of your own service.
