Whistl, formerly known as TNT Post UK, is the second largest postal company in the United Kingdom.
The company, which offers a range of mail, parcel, and door-drop media services, processes 26% of all the UK’s mail volume, equating to almost four billion items per year.
Crimson’s IT recruitment agency has been working with Whistl since August 2015.
Initially, Crimson began working with Whistl Application Development Manager Matt Carr to find a Technical Business Analyst and over the next eight months Crimson were also asked to recruit a graduate software engineer, ProIV developer, and two Test Analysts.
Whistl is a very entrepreneurial company, which has grown rapidly over the last 10 years. Matt was working extremely hard multi-tasking and covering a number of roles to meet the speed of development within the company… Crimson were invited help manage recruitment of a number of roles including a Test Analyst.
Andy Basham and Sunam Muktar, recruiters from Crimson’s Interim Contract and Permanent IT recruitment teams met with Andrew Ferguson, Head of Change & Programme Management, who was recruiting for these new roles.
It was decided that Sunam would source the long-term permanent members of staff for Andrew’s team. Meanwhile, due to the demanding business needs, Andy was asked to find a short-term contract candidate to help with the initial delivery of urgent projects.
Due to specific skillset required for these roles, the recruitment process was not easy and candidates were hard to find. To overcome this challenge Andy and Sunam conducted a 360-degree search, utilising Crimson’s fulfilment delivery function, and their personal networks to source the right candidates for Whistl.
To date Crimson have successfully placed two permanent candidates into Whistl.
Crimson succeeded in finding the right candidates, quickly and without delay for Whistl, which have added real value to Andrew’s team.
Crimson are now working as Whistl’s IT departments as preferred recruitment agency.
