Job Description

Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust & Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust
Joint Chief Digital Information Officer
Band 9

Accountable to the Joint Chief Strategy, Transformation and Partnerships Officer, we are seeking to appoint a Joint Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO) who will be responsible for the overall delivery of digital and technology capabilities across our two Trusts.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior digital professional with significant leadership and transformation experience to take up the role of Joint CDIO leading the Dorset Healthcare NHSFT Digital Services and Dorset County Hospital NHS FT Digital Services teams. The role will work to implement new service delivery models and, working closely with partners, be central to the development and implementation of a new Electronic Health Record. The successful candidate must be a credible senior leader with a track record of delivery in these areas.

Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (DCHFT) & Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust (Dorset HealthCare) have a long and strong history of partnership working. To improve the health and wellbeing of our local communities we are working together in a Federated Model. Having appointed a Joint Chair and Joint Chief Executive and other Joint Executive roles, we are now looking to appoint a Joint CDIO.

Background and Experience

The successful candidate should have substantial and wide-ranging experience at Director level, including evidence of leading the strategy and development of Digital Technology & information solutions. You will be self-motivated, with proven analytical skills, excellent communication skills and a highly developed EQ.

The communities Dorset County Hospital and Dorset HealthCare serve are diverse- we want to be known not just for the delivery of excellent services but also for how we support staff and value each other as individuals. We are committed to tackling discrimination and embracing diversity and would welcome applications from across the spectrum of diversity and groups under-represented in senior leadership roles in the NHS.

If you believe you bring the skills and knowledge required to be successful in this role and share our passion for improving outcomes for our communities, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
