Junior Technical Architect – Azure / .Net – London – Hybrid
Junior Technical Architect required for a leading organisation based near London Bridge, to be responsible for assisting the Solution Architect in the delivery and review of technical designs for 3rd party vendors and will assist the internal development team in the delivery of data and test platforms.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of development technologies, ideally .Net, and will have had some work experience within a development role. This role requires a forward-thinking personality with excellent stakeholder management skills, any training within Architecture will be provided if needed.
The salary on offer is between £55,000 and £60,000 per annum plus benefits.
This is a hybrid role with 2 days required on site.
Key Skills
- Practical and deep experience in at least one coding language, .Net Core or Java
- A desire to focus on Architecture and liaising with the business over coding and development activities.
- Proven experience of working in Azure (set up, deployment of apps, virtual machines, etc).
- Proven experience of working in an Agile environment and clear understanding of methodologies such as SCRUM or SAFE.
- Understanding and experience in working in DevOps (CI/CD) and a clear understanding of the processes around the technical delivery of products.
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects.
- Experience of using SonarCloud or a similar Linting/Scanning technology would be advantageous but not necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Solution Architect on projects and pilot studies to design, document and innovate on new technical architecture design.
- Providing technical expertise to assigned projects and initiatives, relating to the best use of technology and offering technical suggestions and solutions to technical challenges.
- Liaising with 3rd party vendors to ensure the company retains knowledge on the function of all systems delivered and can make informed technical decisions for the future of its products.
- Taking a leading role on internal development initiatives – which primarily consists of pilot studies and building concept prototypes.
- Assisting the Business Analysis team by providing technical advice and guidance during the initial stages of requirements gathering and product definition.
- Providing support and assistance to the Data Engineer and QA specialist to overcome technical challenges in their day to day development work.
