Lead Data Architect – UK/Hybrid
Hybrid – 2 days on site
Multiple locations UK wide
Salary – £120,000 – £140,000 per annum
Lead Data Architect required for a leading client based in London. My client is currently seeking a Lead Data Architect to come on board and be responsible for reviewing and analysing the groups data infrastructure, planning future databases, and implementing solutions to store and manage data for the organisation and its users. The is a new area for the client, so you will be tasked to setup a greenfield Data practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Select and implement the appropriate tools, software, applications, and systems to support the groups data technology goals.
- SAP Experience would desirable
- Previous experience of setting up a Data Practice
- Provide leadership to the Data Architecture & Data Governance team.
- Oversee the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics to ensure data quality.
- Collaborate with project leads, consultants, and business unit leaders on all projects involving enterprise data and analytics.
- Provide technical recommendations and work with Data Architects, Business SMEs, and other stakeholders throughout the Solution/Data Architecture and implementation lifecycle, recommending effective solutions for developing high-performance and highly scalable data solutions.
- Address data-related issues regarding systems integration, compatibility, and multi-platform integration.
- Develop and implement key components as needed to create testing criteria, ensuring the fidelity and performance of data architecture.
- Document the project and program data architecture and environment to maintain a current and accurate view of the larger data picture, supporting a single version of the truth and scalability for future analytical needs.
- Identify and develop opportunities for data reuse, migration, or retirement, and platform upgrades.
- Experience using modern cloud data technologies or architectures such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Power BI, Azure Purview
