2nd Line IT Support Analyst – 0365/Active Directory – Birmingham

2nd Line IT Support Analyst required for an established organisation based in Birmingham, where you will be responsible for providing professional IT support to all UK offices and ensure all IT support calls and tickets are dealt with. You will be the escalation point of contact with the IT departments internal clients and provide efficient desktop support.

The ideal candidate will have excellent 2nd line support experience, preferably with professional services experience (not essential).

Key Responsibilities of the role:

  • Providing fast & efficient 2ndline support to internal users, with a focus on outstanding customer service.
  • Installing and setting up hardware including printers, copiers, scanners, desk phones, mobile phones, monitors, docks etc.
  • Escalation point of contact with IT departments internal clients
  • Able to communicate at all levels with system users
  • Provide fixes over the phone and provide deskside support
  • Provide updates in IT meetings
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Assisting in desk and office moves when required
  • Self-motivated and able to support multiple products simultaneously

Key Skills for the role:

  • Experience working within a 2ndLine IT support position, preferably from a professional services background – not essential however.
  • Knowledge and support experience with Microsoft Office suite including Office 365.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Mobile Device Management (MDM) Solutions.
  • Experience with imaging and profiling machines is beneficial.
  • Experience of using and administrating case management systems is advantageous
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible, adaptable and keen to learn.


The salary for this position is up to £25,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including bonus etc. Working hours are Monday-Friday, shift’s between 8.30am – 6.30pm.
