3rd Line Field Support Engineer – Cornwall

3rd Line Field Support Engineer to deliver outstanding customer service and technical support to clients across the Southwest and beyond. The role involves overseeing the helpdesk, assisting and mentoring first-line engineers, and offers the opportunity to work in a company committed to continuous learning, growth, and career development.

Key responsibilities:

• Offering 3rd Line technical support to businesses of varying sizes and industries.
• Serving as an escalation point for 2nd Line engineers, aiding in their comprehension.
• Supporting field engineers with expertise and on-site assistance as needed.
• Conducting research and outlining diverse projects, then implementing them effectively.
• Contributing to helpdesk management, identifying and resolving issues, and executing necessary repairs or upgrades.
• Ensuring prompt escalation of support issues to 3rd Line when necessary.
• Vigilantly monitoring security threats and vulnerabilities, implementing measures, and ensuring compliance with data security regulations.

Key Requirements:

• Experience working on a support desk or in an IT role
• Extensive experience with Azure/AWS
• Proficient in SQL
• Possess a valid driver’s license (vehicle access is optional but beneficial)
• Adept at handling pressure and effectively managing time on a busy helpdesk
• In-depth knowledge of Office 365 (Email concepts, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure AD)
• Solid understanding of networks (LAN, WAN, VLAN, WIFI, IPSEC, VPN)
• Familiarity with onsite/offsite backup products and storage, including cloud storage
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Expertise in Windows Servers (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, GPO’s, Print Management, AD Sync)
• Technical qualifications like CompTIA A+ are advantageous but not mandatory

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum plus an excellent benefits package
