IT Support Technician – Birmingham

IT Support/Microsoft/Hardware/Software/Active Directory/VMWare/AWS/Firewalls/Exchange/VPN

IT Support Technician required for a leading retail client based in their brand-new office in Birmingham. You will be responsible for providing IT support to users across the business, problem solving, supporting the current IT department and performing PC maintenance and upgrades. You will also be supporting projects and working with multiple business functions.

Immediate start preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Support end users and provide training where necessary
  • Responsible for the installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure
  • Respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk
  • Maintain inventory of all equipment, software and licences
  • Assist project teams with technical issues throughout the project lifecycle
  • Continually review and improve processes and procedures

Key Skills

  • Experience of working in an IT Support position
  • Good knowledge of:
    • Microsoft Servers
    • Active Directory
    • VMWare
    • VPN’s
    • Firewalls
    • TCP/IP
    • Exchange
  • Self-motivated and keen to learn
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
