IT Support Technician – Tamworth

IT Support Technician responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 1/2 support for over 300 users across 6 sites.
  • Provide complete IT support, covering hardware and software for laptops, desktop and servers, networking equipment, IP Phone systems and printers
  • Administration of Active Directory, Server 2012/16/19, Office365, DHCP, Group Policy etc. (training will be provided as required in the above areas)
  • Using call logging software to manage, track and resolve helpdesk calls
  • Provide proper problem escalation and follow up to give exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues by applying technical expertise, product knowledge, communication and problem-solving skills

IT Support Technician Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10, MS Office 365
  • Good working knowledge of networking technologies (wireless, LAN, WAN)
  • Good working knowledge of iPad, iPhone and Androids
  • Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member
  • Undertake project work and additional tasks as assigned
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good documentation skills to improve our knowledge base
  • 2 – 5 years’ experience in the area

  • Microsoft DPM
  • Cisco Ironport content filtering
  • Zscaler
  • Meraki Switching
  • VMWare/ Hyper V/VEEAM

The role will be based in the UK midlands region and travelling to UK sites will be essential to the role.

The Company is an established global leader within its sector and holds a strong wealth of history, partnering with customers to create and design sustainable products.

The Salary is paying £26,000 – £35,000 (negotiable for the right candidate and depending on experience) plus travel expenses.
