Project Manager – Application/Middleware Upgrades – Milton Keynes

Project Manager required for a leading client based in Milton Keynes. They require a project manager to come on board to provide business ownership of all aspects of the project in terms of day to day delivery. The role reports into the Portfolio Manager within the Change Management function of the Information Technology Department. You will be responsible for a number of projects relating to ERP and internal application/ environment/ Middleware upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Stakeholders and disparate interests
  • Managing SAP Hybris upgrade liaising with external suppliers
  • Managing Bespoke application re-platform and software stack upgrades including Apache/Tomcat and Middleware upgrades
  • Interpret the Business Case and convert into a PID
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining the key project documents
  • Manage risks, assumptions, dependencies, issues and opportunities on a daily basis
  • Ability to forecast and estimate budgets
  • Manage conflicting requirements and iron out ambiguities
  • Manage the project resource requirements, requests and project team activities
  • Manage third party involvement to ensure successful project delivery
  • Provide scheduled and ad hoc reports on project progress

Key skills

  • Previous experience of End to end Project delivery
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Clear documentation and excellent presentation skills
  • Inspire confidence and motivate project teams
  • Experience in delivering multiple projects simultaneously
  • Manage project stage reviews including Quality reviews experience
  • Strong experience to plan and conduct effective meetings and track actions to completion
  • Ability to communicate IT at an appropriate level for users with different levels of technical understanding
  • Extensive experience of managing third party suppliers
  • Experience of corporate project work with multi-disciplinary teams at a variety of levels
  • Experience of managing staff in a matrix environment
