Senior IT Support Analyst – Birmingham

Senior IT Support Analyst required for a leading business based in the Jewellery Quarter Birmingham, where you will be required to look after the IT requirements, plan, coordinate, manage IT related activities, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the business and be the main interface with all IT and Comms providers.

This is a really exiting role for someone looking to join a company where they can progress and take on more responsibility.

Key responsibilities of the role

  • Responsible for the management of IT Hardware and associated software, VN, fire walls, licensing, active directories.
  • To Recommend and implement improvements regarding the IT Infrastructure.
  • Responsible for the IT Helpdesk for the company and its circa 100 users.
  • Be able to monitor and be familiar with the IT budget.
  • Teach and monitor best practise with users.

Key skills of the role

  • Experience within a 2nd line support role
  • Experience supporting Windows applications such as windows 7-10, O365 and Active Directory
  • Good working knowledge of Virtual networks and Firewalls
  • Experience working to a timescale and budget
  • To have basic knowledge of how to manage the IT budget
  • Have a drive to come up with solutions for the IT infrastructure

The salary my client is offering for this position is between £20,000 and £25,000 per annum depending on experience.
