Service Transition Manager – ITIL – Stoke/Remote

Service Transition Manager required for an established and growing organisation based in Stoke-On-Trent, where you will play a key role in ensuring that new and changing services are successfully transitioned into production environments, in line with best practices, and become fully integrated/accepted as ‘business as usual’.

Working alongside the service delivery manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all transitioned services are accepted in line with ITIL best practice.

The ideal candidate will have strong track record of operating in a transition management role, managing the priorities of various stakeholders to ensure the best overall outcome for the business.

Key Skills of the role

  • Proven track-record of operating in a transition management role.
  • ITIL Certification in IT Service Transition, and in-depth knowledge of the ITIL Service Management Lifecycle.
  • Proven experience of managing complex operational and technical change.
  • Understanding of development and software engineering practises. Any knowledge/experience of software testing practises and tools (inc Automation) would be highly desirable.
  • Proven experience of information and impact analysis, with ability to model multiple options and track change.
  • Excellent influencing skills and an ability to work with a range of internal/external stakeholders.

Salary

The salary for this position is between £50,000 – £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits. The role will initially be remote, and post-Covid will be 2-3 days in Stoke on Trent/Flexible working.
