The background

Crimson was initially introduced to Comensura in 2019 courtesy of a recommendation from one of Crimson’s existing clients. At that time, Comensura sought a reliable and forward-thinking recruitment ally to assist in securing IT talent for various roles, including contract, interim, and permanent positions.

The approach

Crimson’s Head of Delivery, Dean Parkes, and Head of Customer Engagement, Chris O’Brien began by offering valuable market analysis and linking Comensura with reliable IT contractors ready to make an immediate impact. Beyond leveraging its network, Crimson employed various candidate attraction strategies, utilising specialised job boards and LinkedIn to secure skilled IT contractors swiftly. They facilitated a streamlined process, conducting assessments and placing contractors within a seven-day timeframe. Additionally, Crimson provided umbrella services for effective contractor tracking within the context of IR35 compliance.

Ways of working

Crimson collaborates with multiple suppliers, employing frameworks and portals for contract management. Crimson uploaded CVs to the end customer’s ORC portal to streamline communication and minimise email chains. Actively participating in conference calls with Comensura and their client, Crimson offered insights on salary expectations, talent shortages, and updates on potential and existing candidates, engaging in crucial conversations with all stakeholders. Prioritising contractor care, Crimson maintained regular communication with current contractors, addressing any issues or exploring extension opportunities in coordination with Comensura.

After achieving success with various contract placements, Crimson went on to secure permanent IT talent for Comensura. Since 2019, Crimson has successfully placed over 50 technologists through their collaboration with Comensura.
