Azure Data Engineer – Burton
Burton upon Trent x1 a week on-site
Up to £60k
Azure Data Engineer required for a leading client based in Burton on Trent. My client is seeking an Azure Data Engineer to support the Strategic Data Manager in implementing and maintaining an effective Business Intelligence technical service. You will be supporting the technical development of our clients cloud data platforms, offering the options for near real time process reporting solutions.
Key skills –
- Extensive hands-on experience with Azure data platform technologies, including Data Lake Gen 2, Synapse, Analysis Services, and Power BI
- Extensive proficiency in Azure Data Factory and Databricks
- Strong SQL expertise (Microsoft SQL Server 2005+) with a focus on relational databases and T-SQL query authoring
- Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server Integrated Services (SSIS) with a background in ETL/ELTL design and development
- Familiarity with Microsoft DevOps source control software and development lifecycle tools
- Skilled in developing and maintaining objects within Data Warehouses/Lakehouses
- Knowledgeable in working with business data domains and implementing data as a product (Data Mesh)
- Competent in metadata management and ensuring data quality
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite
- Skilled in performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to address specific business inquiries and identify areas for enhancement
- Analytical skills tailored to structured datasets
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic setting, engaging with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
